Navi Mumbai payrolls are different from Mumbai office payrolls. You may have three shifts, workers paid near the ESI limit, and loaders who are not on your rolls at all. This page shows one operator's payslip, explains where the Mathadi Act fits, and says plainly what BecozAI cannot do for a shop floor.
Before you choose software, list the people who work at your unit or godown, and sort them into three groups.
Only the first group belongs in BecozAI payroll. The other two are an accounts matter, so record them as a bill or an expense.
A consultant's post on the TTC industrial area lists what each block makes. Turbhe: chemical, IT, engineering, food processing and cold stores. Pawane: chemical, textile, food processing and cold stores. Mahape: electronics and IT. Rabale: engineering. Kopar Khairane: chemical, textile, food processing and cold stores. The post is dated 24 June 2017, so treat the mix as a guide, not today's count. It lists 23 highly polluted, 548 red-category and 1,478 orange and green units, about 2,050 in all. Units like these often run in shifts, so attendance by shift is the first thing to get right.

On top of this the employer pays PF of Rs 960 and ESI at 3.25% of gross, about Rs 471. ESI covers people with gross wages up to Rs 21,000 a month, at 0.75% from the employee and 3.25% from the employer (Tally Solutions guide, updated 10 August 2026). The ESI limit did not change when the PF ceiling moved to Rs 25,000 on 17 September 2026 (TAXAJ). An operator at Rs 21,500 gross has no ESI. Two people doing the same work can have different deductions, and that is where hand-made salary sheets go wrong.

Attendance is a selfie with GPS location, taken on a phone. If your shop-floor workers do not carry smartphones, this is a real limit. BecozAI has no biometric device link, so a fingerprint machine at the gate will not feed it. In that case, a supervisor's sheet typed into the system is outside what we have listed, so ask us before you commit. It suits units where supervisors, drivers, sales staff and office people have phones.
Maharashtra's professional tax slabs, the February amount and the Labour Welfare Fund are the same in Navi Mumbai as in Mumbai, so we explain them once on the Mumbai payroll page. Two limits apply here too. BecozAI does not calculate the Labour Welfare Fund yet, and it does not make the PF ECR file or the ESIC upload file.
